When the Cheap Washington Football Team Jerseys drafted the first eight players of the Ron Rivera regime, the expectation was to bring pieces the team could use to build towards the future. After seeing what the rookie class can do in the first eight games of their careers, it certainly accomplished that goal.

Several of Washington’s rookies have become key contributors on either offense, defense or special teams. Some have dealt with injuries or have not made their season debuts yet, but all have shown potential as being part of the core Washington will use to build a sustainable, winning culture. Here’s how each rookie has performed:

DE Chase Young (Round 1, No. 2 overall)
2020 stats: 22 total tackles (18 solo), 3.5 sacks, 1 forced fumble

Cheap Chase Young Jersey mom might have only given him a C+ for his performance at the halfway point of the season, but the rookie defensive end has been a standout among his 2020 draft class colleagues, even if the stats don’t necessarily reflect it.

Young, who has an overall Pro Football Focus grade of a 79.9 heading into Week 10, has consistently been at the top of PFF’s weekly rankings. Young is also a favorite among many outlets for Defensive Rookie of the Year honors. Many expected Young to have more of an obvious impact on the box score, but Young is consistently double-teamed and occasionally triple-teamed by offensive linemen. Washington’s defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio believes that eventually, Young’s numbers will reflect his performance.

“Without talking too much about scheme, the bottom line is he’s doing a great job,” Del Rio said. “He plays hard, he works hard, he’s a great teammate. He comes out with great energy every day. His numbers are going to come. We really just want to encourage him to stay the course and continue to be the fine young man that he is and continue to play with an edge.”

RB Cheap Antonio Gibson Jersey (Round 3, No. 66 overall)
2020 stats: 103 attempts, 436 yards (4.2 yards per carry), 7 touchdowns; 26 receptions, 202 yards (7.8 yards per reception)

Antonio Gibson quickly established himself as the team’s most productive running back. He’s the eighth-most efficient running back in the NFL with a minimum of 80 attempts, and he’s tied for seventh among running backs in the league for rushing touchdowns.

Gibson’s development has stood out to offensive coordinator Scott Turner, who has noticed consistent improvement each week from the former Memphis Tiger.

“I just think his vision and natural instincts of running in between the tackles — physically, he’s always been capable to do that it’s just a matter of getting those reps,” Turner said. “The continued exposure to those types of plays is going to get him better. It’s hard for me to say exactly how far along he is, but you can definitely see the week-to-week improvement.”

T Saahdiq Charles (Round 4, No. 108 overall)
Saahdiq Charles was believed to be in contention for the starting left tackle spot, but he sat out most of training camp and missed the first five games of his rookie season with a calf injury. Charles finally made his debut against the Cheap New York Giants Jerseys on Oct. 18, but two snaps later, Charles went down with a knee injury. Charles is currently on Injured Reserve.

“It’s very difficult just because you see the promise,” Rivera said. “Saahdiq played two plays and you see both those plays and you sit there and say: ‘The guy is something else.’ He blocked their best pass rusher on the very first play. He went down the line, and on the kick out block was in great position to create a crease and then he hurts his leg. You just sit there and say: ‘Wow, this kid has potential,’ but every time something like this sets him back.'”

WR Antonio Gandy-Golden (Round 4, No. 142 overall)

2020 Stats: 1 reception, 3 yards; 1 rushing attempt, 22 yards; 1 rushing attempt, 22 yards

Antonio Gandy-Golden, like much like Charles, was expected to contribute for Washington in his rookie season after a successful career at Liberty. Unfortunately, fans have only been able to see glimpses of Gandy-Golden this season as he’s been on Washington’s Injured Reserve list since Oct. 24. In five games, Gandy-Golden has one reception for three yards on four targets and one rushing attempt for 22 yards.

Washington wide receiver coach Jim Hostler said Oct. 9 that the rookie wide receiver has done a good job but needs to develop consistency.

“He’s in the same boat as the other guys. It’s the consistency over time. It’s easier to play a couple weeks as a young guy. No one knows you; you go out there, you’re focused, you’re locked in. It’s the week-to-week [progression] in however many weeks that we have left that’s going to tell you…how he develops.”

C Keith Ismael (Round 5, No. 156 overall)
Cheap Keith Ismael Jersey has yet to make his NFL debut, but he has been a valuable piece to Washington’s offensive line. Ismael adds a new layer of depth to to the group by being able to play all three interior positions. Ismael was part of the second offensive line during training camp and even played with the starters on occasion. Washington’s offensive line has been banged up at various points this season, so Ismael’s first snap could be on the horizon.

“He’s done a nice job. We’ve put a lot on Keith,” Rivera said Aug. 29. “We’ve had him not just playing the center position but playing both guards. Again, we talk about position flex, and he’s showing that he can do both things. He’s made some mistakes and he’s had some mental breakdowns at times. But, with the amount of volume we’ve put on him, he’s handled it very well.”

LB Khaleke Hudson (Round 5, No. 162 overall)

2020 Stats: 2 tackles (2 solo)

Cheap Khaleke Hudson Jersey has not played a defensive snap yet, but he has been a useful special teams player, appearing in at least 80% of those snaps in the past six games. His two tackles made a distinct impression on special teams coordinator Nate Kaczor, who has noticed steady improvement from the former Michigan linebacker.

“Khaleke took a big step last week,” Kaczor said Oct. 16. “He was actually the one when we were on the 20-yard line and punted it out of there, the result of the play was good. We netted over 40 yards on it. Khaleke was actually the one that made the tackle on that, a solo tackle. …He’s really improving. It took a little bit. I expect him to keep improving. As we talked about earlier with Cheap Cam Sims Jersey, with that comes confidence and players can start playing to a higher level when all of that happens together.”

S Kamren Curl (Round 7, No. 216 overall)

2020 Stats: 36 tackles (24 solo, 12 assists), 2 sacks

Not much was expected of seventh-round pick Cheap Kamren Curl Jersey when he joined the roster, but he has quickly become one of the defense’s most vital players. Curl made multiple interceptions in training camp, and since then he has exceeded expectations, according to Rivera. Curl became the starting strong safety after Landon Collins was placed on Injured Reserve, and he has 36 tackles, two sacks and three quarterback hits in nine games. Although he did allow a touchdown against the Giants in Week 9, Curl also had a career-high 11 tackles.

“Well, he’s such a smart football player. He reminds me, obviously, of a young [Kendall] Fuller, a guy that can give you some position flex in case you have some injuries,” Rivera said. “Or [if] you want to do some sub-package stuff because, again, here’s a guy that is replacing a heck of a football player in Landon.”

DE James Smith-Williams (Round 7, No. 229 overall)

2020 Stats: 5 tackles (4 solo, 1 assist)

Cheap James Smith-Williams Jersey joined Washington’s roster after a solid career as a pass rusher at N.C. State, but it has been difficult for him to get in the rotation with five first-round picks crowding the defensive line. Still, defensive line coach Sam Mills III has been impressed with Smith-Williams’ preparation.

“Well, James, first and foremost — the intelligence jumps out,” Mills said. “He’s got a unique way that he approaches the game. It’s not really like a rookie. Sometimes we forget that James is a rookie because he’s got an old soul. He can play inside and outside, so he can do a lot of different things for you. You can play him in different packages. We’re just excited to give him those opportunities.”

Most of Smith-Williams’ playing time has come on special teams, where he has impressed Kaczor and long snapper Cheap Nick Sundberg Jersey.

“James obviously has impressed his teammates. That’s important,” Kaczor said. “Sundberg being a seasoned veteran…and Nick is very smart. James plays a position on punt that lines up right next to Nick, so Nick knows exactly how these guys learn, their skillset and he can feel how much help he’s getting from them. “

Make Your Own Football Jersey

This is not something new for defensive end Cheap Brandon Graham Jersey.

It isn’t a position he desires, what with the Eagles 3-5-1 and on the road at Cleveland Sunday, the first of five straight games against teams with winning records. But it is where the Eagles find themselves in this bumpy ride through nine games of the 2020 season, and players like Graham – veteran leaders who have turned seasons around in the blink of an eye – understand what it takes to reverse fortunes for a football team that has high expectations for the year.

Everything starts at practice.

“I think it starts, definitely, with practice,” Graham said on Wednesday, “because some of the stuff that is showing up out there (in games) – and we’re just being real with ourselves – is happening in practice – jumping offsides, pre-snap penalties, false starts, people dropping balls, us not getting off the rock. It’s all stuff that we need to hone in on as a team and I think we’re doing a good job addressing that elephant in the room. You just kind of want to say, ‘Aw, everything is going to be alright, it’s gonna be alright.’

“But now we’re at a point where we know that stuff is affecting us and we have to clean that up. What I love the most is how Doug (Pederson, head coach) brings his energy and doesn’t let a lot of this stuff get to him too much, but just know that he’s got to make a change and it starts with him and it trickles down to us and we’ve got to make sure we’re policing that when we see stuff happening in practice.”

That’s the message Pederson has imparted to his team this week – that the Eagles have to be better at the little things in practice that lead to the big things in games. The Eagles are coming off a disappointing 27-17 loss at New York and now their lead in the NFC East over the Giants is slim. The Eagles have seven games to get it together in this regular season. Graham is one of the leaders, along with quarterback Cheap Carson Wentz Jersey and offensive tackle Cheap Lane Johnson Jersey, to address the daily goings on with the team.

The players are taking it to heart. They played poorly Sunday at MetLife Stadium when they had a chance to put a vise grip on the NFC East and reach the .500 mark. Didn’t happen. The page has been turned. The focus is on Cleveland.

“All that matters to me is the locker room, this organization and how we’re going to get better,” Wentz said. “Honestly, right now we’re just not clicking on all cylinders but I’m really confident that we’re going to get it turned around.”

Eagles Insider Podcast: On the road against Cleveland with a spotlight on Johnson-Garrett
Nothing is perfect, of course. The Eagles didn’t put a blueprint together for this kind of season. They’ve battled injuries and inconsistency, and now they’re getting some pieces back – left guard Isaac Seumalo is hopeful to get back as a starter this week and tight end Zach Ertz practiced on Wednesday with his 21-day practice window open. The next step is to eliminate the inconsistency, and on offense that means being more productive on first and second downs to set themselves up for manageable third downs. They are looking for more explosiveness in the passing game and more positive plays in the running game. On defense, the Eagles want more takeaways, more stops, better play inside the red zone.

That’s coming, the players are saying. First things first, though, it’s practice we’re talking about.

“We’ve got our backs against the wall,” Johnson said. “It’s not where we wanted to be. People are tired of hearing us talk, the excuses, this and that. It really doesn’t matter what I say or what anybody says. What matters is production on Sunday and how we play. Really, don’t think about a whole lot. You have a job to do and that’s what you’re paid to do. When it comes down to it, do your job the best you can to your ability. What can I control? My practice, my effort, and helping the other guys around me.”

In the 2018 season, one year after winning the Super Bowl, the Eagles came off a 48-7 drubbing at New Orleans and, at 4-6, were counted out of the postseason picture. But they rallied to win five of their last six games to reach the playoffs and then went to Chicago to defeat the Bears before a narrow loss in New Orleans to the Saints. Last year, the Eagles were humiliated in a December 1 loss at Miami before reeling off four consecutive wins to capture the NFC East.

Now, the Eagles are not where they want to be at 3-5-1. But they are in first place in the division, so they control their own fate. Turning it around in the right direction doesn’t start on Sunday in Cleveland. It is already under way at the NovaCare Complex, where the message from Pederson is simple, and very true.

“I look at everything,” he said. “I don’t want to make just knee-jerk reactions moving forward. We know we have to coach better and play better and that’s the bottom line.”

And that bottom line could lead to a more positive bottom line with the playoffs – and a deep run when they get there – the goal for the Eagles in the big picture. In the very small picture, it’s one step after another on the practice field and in the meeting rooms.
